Since 25 April 1916, New Zealand has observed ANZAC Day to mark the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps’ 1915 landing at Gallipoli during World War One.

The annual ANZAC Day service has since expanded to commemorate those who died serving New Zealand during all wars, and honouring returned and current service personnel.
